Work Visa: The Biometric Visit
A finger or biometric appointment is a visit to the visa centre to record the applicant’s identity for the selected Saudi service. Work Visa and Umrah applicants directed to attend should follow their appointment letter and category requirements.
- Step 1: Book Your AppointmentBook the required appointment and check the centre, date and reporting time.
- Step 2: Prepare Your DocumentsCarry the original passport, appointment letter and the documents required for the selected service.
- Step 3: Attend for BiometricsAttend in person for the applicable fingerprint and photograph process. Tell the staff if cuts or other finger conditions may affect capture.
- Step 4: Keep Your ReceiptKeep the receipt or acknowledgement issued after the visit. Completing biometrics is not itself a visa approval.
Family Visit: documents, fees and submission
A Family Visit appointment can include document submission as well as the applicable biometrics. Check the Required Documents page for the visa category and Saudi Embassy / Mission before attending.

- Step 4: Keep Your Submission ReceiptKeep the submission acknowledgement and its reference; it is needed for follow-up and passport collection.
Which embassy receives the Family Visit application?
Tasheer forwards the accepted documents to the responsible Saudi Embassy / Mission for processing. Follow the mission shown for your visa/application; the biometric centre city and the embassy are separate choices. Attending a centre in Lahore, Multan or another city does not by itself change the responsible mission.
After the embassy processes the application
The passport and relevant documents are returned through Tasheer after the embassy has processed the application. The responsible Saudi authorities decide the outcome. Check the official status and collection instructions rather than assuming that a returned passport always means approval.
SMS updates, collection and courier
If you selected an SMS service, updates are sent under that service’s terms. If courier delivery was selected and available, the documents are sent to the address recorded for delivery. Otherwise follow the centre’s passport-collection instructions. Keep your receipt and check that the contact number and delivery address are correct.
How to follow progress
Use the Tasheer Tracking guide to retrieve an appointment letter before the visit and to find the separate official Track Status route after document submission. Keep the appointment reference and submission reference together, because the official services may request different numbers.
